Since I'm a tech guy, I'm usually a very sharp shopper, and gotta say that the TC-37LZ800 is an superb TV. I was looking for something for my bedroom that wouldn't take up so much space but was big enough for my wife and I to enjoy a good flick. The 37LZ800 physically looks really nice due to it's black glossy finish and the picture is perfecto in standard or hi def. For an LCD TV image it's gotta be one of the greatest, it almost rivals my plasma upstairs (at half the price lol!). The audio is pretty decent, but I'm probably gonna add a few additional speakers to the mix. Anyway, it's a sweet buy.
Found this TV after doing a little research on Consumer Reports. It was the best in it's category so I took a chance. All I can say is WOW! The non hi-def signal from our directtv looked beautiful. I ordered HD programming and I can't wait to see what it'll look like then. The image is ultra sharp and bright.
I've seen a lot of HD TV's with HD programming and I'd easily put them against my Panasonic TC-37LZ800 with standard def. The set up was a really simple and connections were labeled clearly.
